Dear, Pre-teen leaf infested woody plant,
This is the fate of your future self. When there is a big enough tree, we cut it down and bring it to our house. Then we decorate the branches and leaves with decorative ornaments and lights. Advent calendars are bought and have one chocolate a day from the 1st of December. After the tree is decorated we decorate the rest of the house and yard. One the week of Christmas, we have different, worldwide cuisine like, Chinese, Japanese and Russian, until the day of Christmas we have a huge chicken dinner. Also we have lots of presents under the tree for when it’s Christmas morning we open the mystery gifts and have a blast. When it’s all over we return to normal like taking the decorations down and putting them away in boxes. What do we do with the tree? Well we take it outside and let it die out until we can throw it out. Those are the Christmas traditions we do.

Dear Baby Christmas Tree,

People think Christmas is about traditions such as when you open your gifts or when your family comes together. Other people think Christmas is about snow (snowball fights) or It’s about giving. But no, Christmas is about a baby boy named Jesus that was born over 2,000 years ago and is our savior. Christmas is Jesus’s birthday and that’s why we celebrate it.

I hoped you learned the true meaning of Christmas!

Dear pine tree,
The life of a Christmas trees fun and pretty, but we need to go back to where it all begins… when a person picks you. When you get picked the person circles around you. Then they say, “hjbchdfhjhnfjkjhdb,” which in tree language it is, “This is the one.” Then they get a saw and chop you down. The person brings you to their humble home. They decorate you, put lights on you, and put ornaments on you.
On Christmas Day, Santa comes through the chimney and brings presents and puts them under you. I am sorry, but I have my own opinion about Santa. I think that Christmas trees tells Santa where to put all the presents. Also to signify that their family still believes in Christmas. That is why Christmas trees are so important. Have a wonderful Christmas.
Love, Elly

Dear young pine tree,
You’re welcome. I have never cut down any of your friends or ancestors. I have an artificial tree every year.
To me, Christmas is a time to give, and to spend time with family. Some of my family’s traditions before the fire were making Christmas cookies with my brother, mom, and grandma, picking names off a local giving tree, hanging decorations together, and driving around with friends looking at Christmas lights. This year, we are still going to make cookies together and pick names off a giving tree, but this year it is an elder tree and we are adopting people in a care home. Don’t worry, little pine tree, the care home had an artificial tree too. Also, this year we aren’t going to drive around looking at lights.
Even though our situation has changed since the fire, we still plan to celebrate what's important about Christmas and have fun together. I hope you and your family of pine trees have lots of fun too.

Dear Young Pine Tree,
I wanted to tell you a bit about Christmas before you’re older and get to experience it yourself.
First, Christmas is about being with family, and people you like.
Next, it’s about giving and receiving presents.
It is also about thinking more about other people than yourself.
Finally, It’s about decorating your house with lights and ornaments to make it feel more festive. The thing most people use to decorate their house with is “drum roll” pine trees!!! They cut down your family, cut some of their branches, and stick them inside their house and put Christmas lights and ornaments to light up the entire house. The worst part is after about a month they throw you away.
Young Pine Tree, now you know a little about the festivities and the joy that Christmas brings, I hope you see how wonderful this is and have the pleasure of being some nice family’s Christmas tree.
Love Michael

Ah yes, the wonderful christmas time. Let me tell you about it little pine. Christmas is a wonderful happy time of year for us humans, but for you guys? Oh that’s a different story, you see in a couple of years you will be a Mature pine tree. But then, you will see a human coming at you with a saw, you guys know it as the “Decapitator” then you will get killed by the human. Sometimes a small human being will wack at you with it, other times a big human being will slowly rub it on you very forcefully, cleanly cutting you in the way it desires. If you are in a “Killing zone” (known as a Christmas tree farm to us humans) you will most likely be cut down unless you are too small or ugly, Humans are usually very picky so they will most likely go for a beautiful tree like your crush. After you are killed, the humans will stick metal poles into you, it is very painful, in a small, man built puddle of water. After they put you in that they will put heavy, shiny balls on you, a lot of times they will put weird shapes on you and a pointy shape with 5 sharp tips on top of you. After that, you will come back to life you will then sit in that puddle for a couple of weeks they will either throw you out, or burn you. Getting thrown out is just like dying very slowly in the middle of nowhere. But getting burned is painful and hot. You will give out smoke that might give humans lung cancer and killing them, which is a good way for revenge. But you may also get chopped up even more and thrown into a woodstove and getting burned. You are giving the humans heat with your dead body. So if you don’t want to die in any of these ways then be small and ugly. Oh and also don’t get too attached to that beautiful tree he or she will probably get decapitated.

Deer little pine tree,
When you grow old you will be a christmas tree. You probably don’t know what christmas is. It is Jesus’s birthday. People will decorate you with ornaments and christmas lights. While your waiting for christmas day to come people will put presents under you. Also I forgot when you are chopped down you will be put in this stand and they will put water in so you can survive. Also yes I did say chopped down. It’s like a pig you grow and grow and then they kill you but dont worry its not as bad as you think. When christmas day is over they either burn you or throw you away. So really you grow, get chopped down, and then they finish you that meen’s kill you. Also they can throw you in a lake and you will become a fish habitat for fish.

There are so many Traditions for Christmas, My tradition for Christmas is we always get to open one present on Christmas Eve and we always eat lobster and crab Christmas night. I was always told that there is a big fat jolly man, with a white beard that would come down my chimney. He would deliver presents to me and I get to see them in the morning and open them with all of my family. His name was Santa Claus, people told me that he would deliver toys to boys and girls all over the world on Christmas night. He would ride his sleigh with his 10 reindeer and they'd fly across the night sky. You always have to leave cookies and milk for him to eat because it's pretty hard to go around the whole world in one night and deliver toys to all the boys and girls. You little pine tree will become a Christmas tree people will cut you down and put you in their house hang ornaments on you and lights and make you look all pretty and put a star on top of you. This is what I was always told but of course you're going to have to see for yourself.

Dear baby Christmas tree,

This is what we do for Christmas go up to the mountains and cut you down then we take you back home and decorate you with ornaments and lights then we go outside and decorate the outside the house. And then we go to my cousins house and look at the Christmas lights and go home and drink hot chocolate and then we wake up and there are parents under the tree. And that's my Christmas

Dear Young Tree,
Christmas is about love, happiness, joy, and much more. In my family Christmas brings people together. What makes people happy is getting gifts, but what makes us even happier is giving gifts. But what Christmas is really about is the birthday of Jesus Christ our holy savior. :)

Dear Young Pine Tree,

In this letter I will explain christmas and your future as a pine tree. First I will explain christmas. Christmas Is the holiday celebrating Jesus's birth. On christmas, family’s get a christmas tree that is usually a pine tree. On christmas, people feist and open presents. A christmas tree brings families joy and gets them in the spirit for christmas. Now I will explain your future as a pine tree. Some day when you are older you will be cut down, tied to a car, and taken to a home where you will live your last few days. You will be dressed up with lights and ornaments. But you will feel pain, screws will be drilled into your trunk and you will have no friends. After multiple days of pain and watching people sit around to watch T.V. you will be hauled out of the home, thrown into a pile where many dead plants lay, and you will be burned. This is a sad and tragic way to die, but it’s the circle of life for you as a pine tree. Enjoy life while you can.

Sincerely,
Teagan Quigley

Dear Baby Christmas tree, You will have to do something very big someday, but I will tell you that later.
Someday when you are very tall and grown up people will come and cut you down. Don’t worry, the people that cut you down will put you in their home and feed you sugar water, put lights on you, and ornaments. On December 25, Christmas, you will have present under your trunt, full of magical stuff that people will open. You don’t have to worry because you will bring them joy, and comfort.

Dear Young Pine Tree,
What is Christmas all about? Some might say Christmas is about getting toys and feasting on food, but I’m going to use an old saying, Christmas is not about getting it’s about giving. To me Christmas is about doing things with your family like decorating a christmas tree or going and playing in the snow. So I hope you now know what the true spirit of Christmas is all about.

Christmas is a holiday where most people spend time with their families and give presents to each other. They also get Christmas trees which is your kind when you grow up people will cut you down put lights and ornaments on you, water you, then when Christmas is over they throw you out and and you dry out. They don't just do this they also put lights on their house and decorate all around their house. That's basically Christmas.

If I could explain Christmas to a young pine tree I would say that Christmas is a traditional holiday for many all over the world. Everyone celebrates Christmas differently. Most people decorate a tree like some people put popcorn on their tree and some people put a little trains under their tree. Christmas is also celebrated by singing Christmas songs, food and having family gatherings. There are some people that don't celebrate Christmas at all. My family celebrates Christmas by going up to the snow and cutting a tree down to put in our living room. We put the tree in a stand with water and decorate it with lights and ornaments. To me this is the most important part of Christmas because we do it as a family. This also gives Santa a place to put the presents he brings Christmas morning,

Dear Baby Pine Tree,
You have probably heard about what happens to adult pine trees this time of year. But it’s not really that bad. You will bring joy to families all around the world. You get to wear all kinds of jewelry and you get to be the keeper of all the presents until December 25th. You probably have heard of the Elf On The Shelf too. He/She will probably be your good friend, you guys will work together to make little kids mornings a bit more special. Don’t listen to the old grumpy trees who try to frighten you. Think of your job as bringing joy to many, many people!

Dear Pine Tree
You are a very important Tree in most of North America for December. We have lots of things we do with you, first, we most of the time come and cut you down strap you on our car or put it in our truck and take you home. We also have factories that come and chop you down then bring you to us. After that we usually take you home and decorate you with ornaments and Christmas lights. From the time you get to our house till Christmas you will probably get jumped on by cats or get your branches token off from dogs. On Christmas Eve a person named Santa will come and put presents for everyone under you. Then on Christmas Day we all come out an open all the presents that are under you or next to you. After Christmas is all done and over we will take off all the lights all the ornaments cut you up and throw you in a bonfire and talk with smores over you while you're burning in fire.

Dear Young Pine Tree,
You have been born with a very special purpose at christmas time and all year round. You make the world beautiful then at christmas time you make our house beautiful. We as in the people who will cut you down will put Ornaments, lights and other crazy things on you. You are going to sit in our house as boxes get placed under you. These boxes are presents, these are the things that make children very happy, and excited. You and the presents are going to make children's eyes glitter. By the end of this time you have served your purpose and you will be sadly burned.
Sincerely, Lexi Gomes.

Dear Pine Tree,
Christmas is a wonderful holiday. First you will be planted by a farmer at a Christmas tree farm and it will take you about 8 years to grow. Once you are tall enough, families will come to the Christmas tree farm around December and will look around at all the trees and decide which one they would like to take home. The families usually make a fun day of the event to cut down a tree and you will be lucky to be picked. After you are cut down you will be put in the back of a truck or tied to the top of a car and the family will take you home. You will have a stand put on your trunk so you can be stood up in the family home. The family then will take out all their decorations and together will decorate you with all their favorite ornaments and lights. You will have a star or some other traditional tree topper put on top of you. Presents will be placed around your trunk for Christmas Day. On Christmas day all the gifts that are around you will be opened by the family. Lastly, after Christmas day all the decorations will be taken off you and the family will either give you to the green waste garbage man or you can be tossed into Oroville lake to create a habitat for fish.

Dear little pine tree,
There are many traditions that people use for Christmas but my way is where…
I was always told that there was a man with a long white beard and a fat stomach because he ate so many cookies. I was also told that everyone would get a Christmas tree and decorate it and decorate their house. That is always what I did every year and people would put out a glass of milk with cookies for santa. That is also what I do. We have an elf that santa sends to our house every year and we have to find it and the last couple of days the elf was on the shelf, the Christmas tree, and now by our ledge by our couch. It is always fun trying to find it and at our old house in paradise we had a pickle ornament that we would hide and who ever found it first got to open a present first. Also everyday on Christmas we will open the presents at home and then go to my grandmas in paradise because they lived right next to us but now they don’t so we will go to the one that lives in magalia because we live in magalia. We would always eat breakfast there and open the presents that she got for us.
That is my tradition that we do every year except for last year because of the fire that happened. We will continue that tradition forever.

If I were to explain Christmas to a Christmas tree. I would say “Well little tree, someday you will have heavy glass covering your pinny little. You will be weighed down to the ground and be surrounded by presents for the people who brought you to that place. Then on the 24th at night you will see a burglar dressed in red break into our house and and put things under your feet.
Then after Christmas you will be thrown away into the garbage and burned.”

Dear Little Pine Tree,
When you're older you’ll get to experience getting decorated with ornaments and Christmas lights. You’ll also get to see the family that cut you down open presents on Christmas morning. Another thing the family will do is decorate the outside of their house with Christmas lights. On Christmas Eve, you'll get to see the family decorate Christmas cookies and gingerbread houses with their cousins. On Christmas Eve, you'll also get to see the family have a special Christmas Eve Dinner. I hope you liked learning about the traditions my family during the Christmas season.

Dear Young Tree
You will be chopped down driven on a car to someone's house. You will be rested in a bucket with nails piercing right into you bark. You will get decorated like your a statue. Around the house there will be people making sugar cookies in the shapes of trees and other things. You will also see weird lights on cords decorated around the house. There will be pieces of paper with weird cuts in them making patterns. You might see a gingerbread house on a table getting eaten by children when their parents are not looking. You might even see a fellow tree on the porch. This dear Young Tree is, your future.

Dear pine sapling, I heard you wanted to learn about christmas! Christmas is about family. Everyone celebrates Christmas differently. For example, Some people like to go out and cut down their own live tree. Others go out and buy artificial trees Everyone likes to decorate their tree in their own special way. There are tinsel, ornaments, and toppers to suit anyone's taste. Some ornaments are even passed down through family and becomes a tradition to put them on the tree. In my family we have a pickle ornament that my mom, dad or grandma hides in the tree and me and my sister have to find it, If one of us finds it we get a prize. Every year it is hide really well I usually don’t find it because I'm oblivious but it’s still really fun.

Dear young pine tree,

Your a very important part of christmas, people will come to you and cut your legs off. This is a very painful process and you will experience major pain while this happens and hopefully they give you water. Next they will suffocate you with lights and strings. They will put things called ornaments on you with hooks. They will put boxes under you and may have to chop off some of your arms so they fit. Once their done with you they will throw you in their front yard, something/someone will come and take you. They will put you in a truck and take you to be put in an incinerator, they will throw you in and you will be burnt. Sincerely, Noah.
